Durability & Elegant Appearance

When a hardwood floor is refinished this increases it durability and improves its elegant appearance. The process normally involves sanding, staining, and finishing. Any damage is repaired and sometimes a board is replaced. Refinishing takes considerable time. A skilled craftsman has the patience for the job. Nails, staples, and tacks are removed so the sandpaper isn't torn. The sander should follow the grain of the wood and that requires the correct grade of sandpaper.

If a quality wood that is thick has been used then its wear layer allows refinishing. If it is a fine quality engineered wood it allows refinishing more than once.
